Seminar Organization

The Healthy Leadership Seminar from BWGI Ministries is built from 11 sessions, described briefly below.  Each session includes both lecture and interactive section, and is typically forty-five minutes to one hour in length.  The interactive exercises include personality testing and gifts testing, as well as a number of group exercises.

The sessions are designed to fit almost any schedule.  The seminar can be presented over a weekend, or may be spread over six to eleven weeks, or the sessions can be doubled and presented in half that time.

SESSION I
The Source For Leadership

 The Trinity: Perfect Team Members with a Perfect Leader.  Leadership stems from the presence of God; it is not necessarily because of the presence of sin.   Leadership flows out of the existence of the Trinity. It exists within the Trinity. Since that is so, it is not needed to deal with sin nor is it sinful.
SESSION II
The Leader And His God		 The Mentality for Leadership: The Mind of Christ.  Examine the childish mentality, the slave mentality, and the adult mentality.  A leader has a principled affectionate relationship with God; this is not based on a guilt-ridden slave mentality or a childish perspective. Gal. 4:1-11
SESSION III
The Leader And His Followers		 Examines leadership in the ancient world, and compares it to the nurturing leadership required by scripture.  A leader realizes that he is called to nurture the followers;  this is in sharp contrast to the leadership concept in the ancient world.  Ephesians 5 & 6  
SESSION IV
The Three Worlds Of The Leader		 The leader realizes that he must serve within three different worlds, and he must not become wrapped up in any one of them:  the congregation, the leadership team, and the leader's inner life.
SESSION V
The Emotional Life Of A Leader		 Examines various leadership emotional traps:  the enmeshed leader, the withdrawn leader, the differentiating leader.  A leader can separate his emotions from the real needs of the moment.
SESSION VI
The Leader and His Worship and Warfare		 The leader aims his team or congregation in the direction of a principled, affectionate relationship with God, the use of spiritual gifts as worship, and use of spiritual armor as a unified response to satanic attack.  This includes a healthy mentality (adult Son-ship), worship through spiritual gifts, and unified warfare.
SESSION VII
The Environment For Leading		 The leader not only creates a plan but he creates an atmosphere to fulfill the plan.  This includes a high Hedonic tone, transformational ministry, and an outward directed mentality.
SESSION VIII
Personal Leadership Skills		 The leader must know how to emotionally invest, as well as confront without the person confronted knowing.  This session examines the skills of compassion, encouragement, and confrontation.
SESSION IX
Group Leadership Skills
Part 1		 The leader must be able to spot unhealthy emotional reactions and their symptoms.  This session examines unhealthy communication patterns and reactive emotions.
SESSION X
Group Leadership Skills
Part 2		 The leader knows how to use anger as steam to fulfill God's purposes.  This session examines healthy communication patterns and dealing with anger.
SESSION XI
A Healthy Team		 A leader knows that team members have to be different from each other to be at their best.  This session examines aspects of a healthy team, including character, diversity, and leadership.

 
Presentation Options

This Seminar is most effective when presented in its entirety.  However the church or organization may pick any number of sessions.   We recommend a minimum of six. The recommended minimum set is shown below.

Seminar Fees

The Healthy Leadership seminar includes a 80-page workbook for each attendee, a $16 value.  The seminar fee structure consists of a $800 non-refundable booking fee paid by the church, and a per attendee registration fee, typically paid by the attendees, and travel and lodging for the lecturer.
